
Offering public yoga classes and private yoga instruction in and around Harrisonburg, Virginia. Shenandoah Yoga is inspired by the Hatha yoga traditions of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Iyengar.
Summertime means lots of activities and opportunities for travel for your instructors at Shenandoah Yoga. That means some regularly scheduled classes will be cancelled. Please check the schedule to see if any of your regular classes are affected.
Beat the Heat morning yoga classes will continue for last hot month of the summer, August, on three Wednesday mornings from 7:15 to 8:45 am. Come on out to do your practice before the heat of the day kicks in. Classes will be multi-level. You can drop-in or apply classes from your pass.
Weekday morning 9:00 am classes will resume with the fall semester. Multi-level yoga classes will happen on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 to 10:30 am, starting on August 30.
Drop-ins are welcome for all Level 1, 2 and 3, Multi-level & Gentle Yoga classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Students may join any class any time. All Harrisonburg classes happen downtown. Directions and a map and the schedule are posted.
The Prenatal Yoga Class is ongoing with the next classes scheduled for Tuesdays, August 3, 10 & 24. from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy are welcome to the prenatal class. Pre-registration is required (by Mondays, August 2, 9 & 23 respectively). Furthermore, current & new prenatal yoga students are invited to attend any Level I class - simply let your instructor (who has received special training to teach in prenatal yoga) know you're pregnant so appropriate practice modifications can be given.
Inclement weather may cancel class. In the event of snow, ice, or freezing rain, please call 540-746-8468, where any class cancellations will be posted.
