COVID Protocol Update
With the rise and rapid spread of the Delta variant of COVID and recent related changes to CDC guidelines, we updated our COVID protocol, effective August 2, 2021. We will continue to monitor local community spread and make adjustments accordingly.
When Harrisonburg is at a “low” or “moderate” level of COVID transmission, we will offer in-person, indoor classes for fully vaccinated* students. No masks will be required, and there will be no special limitations on class sizes. Many classes will also be offered online. For reference, this has been our protocol from May 2021 until the end of July 2021.
When Harrisonburg is at a “substantial” level of COVID transmission, we will offer in-person, indoor classes for fully vaccinated students. Masks will be required at ALL times for all students – including before, during and after class, and class sizes will be limited to four socially distanced students. Most classes will also be offered online.
When Harrisonburg is at a “high” level of COVID transmission, we will suspend all in-person, indoor classes. All normally in-person classes will be offered online.
For all indoor classes during late spring, summer and early fall, studio windows will be open, and ceiling fans will be on “high”.
Outdoor class sizes are always limited size-wise due to patio space constraints, and for the time being, we will continue to offer them when transmission rates are moderate, substantial or high. We reserve the right to cancel them any time as the COVID situation evolves or convert them to online classes as community transmission rates fluctuate and/or in the event of inclement weather. Unvaccinated students attending outdoor classes must wear a mask at all times and socially distance from all other students and staff.
Please do NOT come to any class if you have been recently exposed to anyone with COVID or if you are experiencing any cold or flu symptoms, even if you do not think you actually have COVID. We promise to do the same, which could result in last minute cancellations changes to our class schedule.
Pre-registration is required for all in-person classes, and you must show proof of vaccination prior to attending any in-person, indoor classes. BYOB yoga mat and props – loaners will be NOT be provided.
We prioritize your health and safety and appreciate your understanding and flexibility regarding our evolving protocols.
Sign up for yoga via Schedulicity. When signing up for Monday or Thursday Hatha Yoga or Prenatal Yoga classes, you will see options for both indoor and online classes. Please choose your preference correctly.
* Fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC means that you are at least two weeks after your second dose of Moderna or Pfizer or at least two weeks after your single dose of J&J.
