Shenandoah Yoga’s next Free Community Yoga Class will happen on Monday, September 23 from 7:15 pm to 8:30 pm. This free class is being held in celebration of the Fall Equinox. All levels are welcome to this multi-level class, including new, current and former students. The more the merrier!

which will go 100% to the local food bank a few blocks from the studio.
We’re pleased to kick off our new Fall Schedule effective Wednesday, September 4. While most of our class offerings remain the same, we’re excited about a few changes:
Yoga Basics (NEW!)
Starting next Monday, September 9 at 7:15 pm
and happening for the next month, this hour-long class is perfect for
those new to yoga or for those returning to yoga after a break in their
practice. Be sure to tell your friends, family and colleagues who may be interested in yoga! With
a focus on yoga’s fundamentals, including basic yoga poses, breathing
and meditation, each of these four classes will be different – come to
any one or all of them.
Starting this Thursday, September 5 at 6:45 pm,
our longtime popular yoga class for pregnant women is back to its
nearly weekly offering. Women are welcome during all stages of
pregnancy. Reminder: Prenatal Yoga Students MUST sign up 24 hours (or
more) ahead of class each week.
We are accepting applications for yoga teachers who would like to join our roster of subs for the fall. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for an opportunity to teach their own classes to be added to our schedule. All Shenandoah Yoga teachers must be certified (at a minimum) as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs) at the 200-hour level through Yoga Alliance.
If you are interested in applying, please submit a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org by August 10, 2018 detailing your qualifications and teaching experience. Candidates may be asked to demonstrate their teaching skills by leading a free class at the studio and/or submitting a list of references. We also suggest taking classes at our studio – if you haven’t already done so – to get a feel for it.
